Detoxing, or detoxification, is the process of eliminating toxins and waste products from the body. The body has its own natural detoxification systems, primarily carried out by the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, and lymphatic system. However, in today’s world, we are exposed to a wide range of toxins from various sources such as pollution, processed foods, tap water, air full of chemicals and stress.
Here are some reasons why detoxing can be beneficial:
Elimination of toxins: Detoxing helps to support and enhance the body’s natural detoxification processes, allowing it to effectively eliminate accumulated toxins. This can help to lighten the load on the organs responsible for detoxification and promote overall health.
Improved energy and vitality: By removing toxins from the body, detoxing can help to improve energy levels and reduce fatigue. This is because toxins can interfere with the body’s energy production and circulation.
Enhanced immune function: Detoxing can support the immune system by reducing the burden of toxins that can weaken immune function. By eliminating toxins, the body can better focus on fighting off infections and diseases.
Clearer skin: Many toxins can accumulate in the skin and contribute to various skin issues such as acne, rashes, and dull complexion. Detoxing can help to improve skin health by removing these toxins and promoting a clearer, healthier complexion.
Weight management: Toxins can disrupt the body’s metabolism and hormonal balance, which can contribute to weight gain or difficulty losing weight. Detoxing can help to rebalance this system.
For all this is recommended right after your EESystem session to take a salt bath at your house or in our centre. Also, for the ones that don’t like baths or are not able to get in the bath we recommend our infrared sauna sessions for a good detox.
While we are detoxing sometimes, we can feel sick, it is called The Herxheimer reaction and occurs when the body’s immune system responds to the release of toxins from the death of large numbers of bacteria or other microbes. As the bacteria die off, they release endotoxins or other substances that can trigger an inflammatory response in the body. This immune response can lead to a variety of symptoms, including fever, chills, headache, muscle and joint pain, fatigue, and worsening of the original infection symptoms.
The Herxheimer reaction is generally considered a positive sign as it indicates that the treatment is working, and the body is effectively clearing out the infection. However, it can be uncomfortable and sometimes severe, depending on the individual and the specific infection being treated. Dr Sandra Michael Rose recommends togo back into the EESystem as soon as possible to allow the body to pass the reaction faster.
To manage the Herxheimer reaction and have better results in your EESessions, it is important to stay well-hydrated, get plenty of rest, and support the body’s detoxification processes. This can be done by drinking plenty of water, eating a healthy diet, and avoiding alcohol, caffeine, and processed foods. Some individuals may also benefit from taking supplements or medications to support liver function and reduce inflammation.
